SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—
Kristina Foley had a two-run to lead the Skidmore College softball team to a 4-2 win in the first game of doubleheader with Sage College. The Gators won the second game 7-3.
The Thoroughbreds are 6-10, while Sage is 8-8.
In addition to Foley's blast,
Dani DeGregory had her fourth three-hit game of the season, going 3-4.
Lauren Fortunato was 2-2 and
Rochelle Brown went 2-3 with two RBI.
Casey Attonito got the win, going 4 1/3, allowing two runs on eight hits.
Amanda Carilli picked-up the save with 2 2/3 of scoreless, one-hit relief.
In the second game, Sage took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first, only to have Skidmore respond with three in its half of the inning. The Gators tied it in the fourth and then broke it open with four in the sixth.
DeGregory , Fortunato, and Foley had two hits each. Brown had an RBI single. Carilli took the loss, allowing five earned runs on 10 hits.
Skidmore hosts Cazenovia College on April 1 at 3:30 p.m.
