Thoroughbreds tangle with RPI in final home meet

SENIOR DAY PROGRAM

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming and diving teams took on Rensselaer in the final home meet of the season, Saturday at the Williamson Center pool.
 
The Engineer women won 123-62, while the men won 146-78.

For the women, Yookee Roh won the 50 Free (26.57).  Ellen Sweder swam a season best in the 1000 Free to finish second (12:16.00), while Claire Stetten was also the runner-up in the 200 Free (2:06.95).
 
On the men's side, Mario Hyman was second in the 200 IM (2:07.44), while Harrison Shockley was second in 100 Back (56.78).
 
Hiro Kamei was second in the 100 Breast (1:02.92). Teague Costello was third in the 200 Free (1:52.13) and 100 Free (51.55).
 
In diving, Kevin Brito took second in the 3 Meter (207.35) and 1 Meter (202.35).
 
The Thoroughbreds travel to Vassar College on Jan. 30 for the Vassar Sprint Invite.
