SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's soccer team hosts Clarkson on Saturday in the Liberty League opener for both teams.
 
The Thoroughbreds thrashed MCLA 5-0 on Tuesday to improve to 4-2. Skidmore scored in the opening 10 minutes for the fifth time in six games on Adebare Oyeniyi's third goal of the season. Augustine Okoye produced two goals in the win, giving him eight points (3G, 2A) over the last four games, while Todd Jensen netted his second goal is as many games. The 5-0 win marked the second time Skidmore has scored five goals in a game this season.
 
The Thoroughbreds have limited their opponents to 0.83 goals per game  and 4.1 shots on goal per game while ranking fourth in the league in scoring average (2.67 goals per game.)
 
SCOUTING CLARKSON
Clarkson shutout Canton, 2-0, on Wednesday to move to 3-4-1 overall. 
 
Junior forward Tucker Wilcox is tied for second in the league with seven goals and 16 points. He has tallied in six of seven games this season. Sophomore forward Kevin Calnan has also made a significant offensive impact, ranking second in the conference with four assists.
 
Michael King and Riley McDonald have split time in goal for the Golden Knights, with King starting the last three games. Clarkson has conceded six goals in two away games this season and currently has the highest team goals against average in the Liberty League (2.00).
