SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The 11th-ranked Skidmore College field hockey team will look to bounce back this weekend in a pair of home games against Stockton and Utica.
 
The Thoroughbreds suffered back-to-back losses over the weekend, falling at New Paltz and #11 Montclair. Sophomore goalkeeper Zoe McGuire made a career-high 17 saves against New Paltz and recorded double-digit saves for the third consecutive game against the Red Hawks, making 11 saves before leaving the game with an injury. Senior defender Jenn Hanks produced a goal and an assist against Montclair.
 
SCOUTING STOCKTON
Stockton fell to 1-4 with a 3-2 loss against Alvernia on Tuesday. The Ospreys, who have yet to play an away game this season, have been outscored 16-5 through five games. Stockton has not scored more than two goals in a game in eight straight contests dating back to last season.
 
Leah Davies, Grace Kinney and Sarah Gawrysiak are all tied for the team high with three points on a goal and an assist. Emily Sorochynskyj has started all five games in goal and holds a 3.20 goals against average a .724 save percentage.
 
SCOUTING UTICA
Defending Empire 8 conference champion Utica fell to Nazareth, 4-3, in overtime on Wednesday. The Pioneers are 2-6 on the season.  Freshman forward Rylee Meelan tallied twice in the loss.
 
Meelan leads the team with four goals and nine points, while senior midfielder Colleen Dowling has produced a team-best four assists. Senior goalkeeper Kells Casey has started all eight games, posting a 2.48 goals against average and a .778 save percentage.
 
The Pioneers, who host Hamilton on Saturday, are averaging 1.50 goals per game and have been outscored 14-6 in the second half.
