SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y—The Skidmore College men's soccer heads back on the road Saturday to square off undefeated #21 Plattsburgh.
 
The Thoroughbreds blanked Williams, 2-0, on Tuesday, handing the Ephs their first loss of the season. Nick Masiero's first goal of the season at 7:32 proved to be the game-winner. Kevin Santos netted his second goal in as many games and senior goalkeeper Eli Kisselbach finished with five saves, earning his second shutout of the season.
 
Skidmore has outscored its opponents 6-1 in the first half this season and is 3-0 when scoring in the opening 20 minutes.
 
SCOUTING PLATTSBURGH
Plattsburgh improved to 7-0 with a 1-0 win against Norwich on Tuesday. The Cardinals picked up a pair of wins at the Best Western Cardinal Classic over the weekend, outscoring its opponents 15-2. The 21st-ranked Cardinals beat Mount Saint Mary 7-1 in the championship game after scoring a season-high eight goals and combining for 24 points in an 8-1 win against Colby-Sawyer.
 
Plattsburgh ranks fifth in Division III with 68 points and sits ninth with 16 assists. The Cardinals 3.71 goals per game place them 17th in the country, while their 26 total goals are the fifth-most.
 
Junior forward Alexis Archilla leads the team with five goals and 11 points, while Nelson Vetter has contributed a team-high five assists. Reigning SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Week Nicholas Laurent has potted two game-winning goals. Senior goalkeeper Mitchell Jordon has a 0.99 goals against average and a .668 save percentage in six starts.
