SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The fifth-ranked Skidmore College field hockey team goes back on the road this weekend, taking on New Paltz on Saturday before facing #11 Montclair on Sunday.
 
The Thoroughbreds shutout their second straight opponent with a 2-0 win against Geneseo on Saturday. Zoe McGuire made a career-high 13 saves and Becca Halter produced a goal and an assist in the win. The 2-0 win marked the first time since 2011 that Skidmore shutout back-to-back opponents.
 
McGuire currently ranks fifth in the country with a .960 save percentage and sixth with a 0.33 goals against average, while DeGregory leads all active Division III players with 76 career goals, 40 career assists and 192 career points.
 
SCOUTING NEW PALTZ (4-1)
New Paltz lost 3-1 to #20 Rochester after starting the season 4-0, including a 2-1 win over #11 Montclair. The Hawks responded with a 6-0 win against Union on Tuesday, not allowing the Dutchwomen to record a shot. Senior defender Jessica Caruana tallied two goals, while Rachel McLaughlin had a goal and two assists.
 
Junior forward Kayla McKeveny leads the team with six goals and 12 points, while 2014 Longstreth/NFHCA All-American Dani Ackerman is second with two goals and three assists. Senior goalkeeper Alayna Wageman has started the last four games, posting a 1.31 goals against average and a .844 save percentage. The Hawks have outscored their opponents 10-2 in the second half this season.

SCOUTING MONTCLAIR
Montclair battled to a 2-1 win against Misericordia on Saturday to improve to 4-1 on the season. The Red Hawks lone loss of the year came last week against New Paltz.
 
Montclair has scored 11 of its 17 goals in the first half this season. The Red Hawks,  who have yet to play a game at home, have gone 33-2 at home over the last three seasons.
 
Sophomore forward Kaitlyn Struss leads the team with five goals and 11 points but has been held scoreless in the last two games.  Senior Rebecca Brattole has started all five games in goal and hold a 1.33 goals against average and a .647 save percentage.
