Zoe McGuire turned away five shots for her first career shutout. The Red Dragons had scored at least one goal in 45 straight games before the loss to Skidmore.
The Thoroughbreds have conceded two or fewer goals in 13 of their last 14 games. McGuire has a 0.50 goals against average and a .917 save percentage this season, while DeGregory is currently on a 12-game point streak.
SCOUTING GENESEO (1-2)
Geneseo suffered a 6-2 defeat against No. 13 William Smith on Wednesday. The Knights opened the season with a 4-1 win against Elmira before falling 2-1 to RPI.
Freshman forward Garbriella Clare leads the team with three goals, two assists and eight eights. Clare tallied twice against the Herons and has registered a point in all three games this season. Senior goalkeeper Dayna Mercer has started all three games, posting a 3.00 goals against average and a .786 save percentage.
