Live Stats SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.--The Skidmore College men's soccer team plays it first two home contests of the season this weekend, hosting Potsdam Friday before welcoming Canton on Saturday.
The Thoroughbreds cruised in their season opener against Nazareth, receiving goals from three different players in a 3-0 win.
Adebare Oyeniyi tallied the opening goal of the season, while
Kevin Santos and
Brennan Mitrolka provided the insurance. Senior goalkeeper
Eli Kisselbach made one save for his 13th career shutout.
SCOUTING POTSDAM (3-1)
Potsdam is coming off of a dominant 7-0 win against Johnson State. Senior Tom Benedetto tallied two goals and Ben Firlit netted his fourth goal in as many games. The seven goals marked the most for the Bears since 2006.
The Bears have outscored their last three opponents 12-2 and they own a 10-1 scoring advantage in the second half this season. Firlit leads the team with four goals and is tied for the team-high with eight points, while Benedetto leads the team with two assists and ranks second with three goals.

Canton is 0-3 to start the season. The Roos went 0-2 at the Oswego State Tournament, falling 3-1 to host Oswego and 4-1 to Houghton.
Canton has been outshot 78-26 through its first three games and outscored 7-2 in the second half. Junior midfielder Hunter Mowery leads the team with three points on a goal and an assist. The Roos take on Sage Friday at 2 p.m.
