SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The eighth-ranked Skidmore College field hockey team will be looking to secure home field advantage in the Liberty League tournament this weekend when it closes out its conference schedule against Rochester and William Smith.

The Thoroughbreds, who have already clinched a Liberty League playoff berth, rolled to an 8-1 win against Castleton on Wednesday. Freshman forward
Grace Florsheim scored a career-high four goals and
Dani DeGregory extended her point streak to nine games and her goal streak to six. Skidmore is 10-0 when DeGregory scores.

The Thoroughbreds have won six straight games, outscoring their opponents 40-4 in that span. Skidmore has won 13 straight home games and 29 consecutive home games against Liberty League teams dating back to 2009.Â

Skidmore leads Division III in goals per game (5.07), points per game (13.50) and scoring margin (4.07) and ranks second in assists per game (3.36).

DeGregory leads the nation goals per game (1.79), assists per game (1.07) and points per game (4.64) and is also the active career leader in all three categories. Junior defender

Zoe McGuire is second with a .890 save percentage and 21st with a 1.07 goals against average.

SCOUTING ROCHESTER
Rochester bounced back from a 1-0 loss at RPI last Saturday with an 8-0 drubbing of Elmira on Tuesday. Callie Fisher, Michelle Relin and Nicole Cerza each scored two goals for the Yellowjackets.

Rochester is 8-0 at home and is 19-2 in it last 21 home games. The Yellowjackets have shutout four straight opponents at home and have outscored their opponents 28-2 at home this season. Rochester has shutout eight opponents this season and has conceded more than one goal just twice, ranking seventh in Division III with a 0.67 goals against average.

Senior goalkeeper Tara Lamberti is fourth in the nation with a .870 save percentage and ninth with a 0.71 goals against average. Relin second in the conference in assists (7), fourth in goals (12), points (31) and points per game (2.07). Cerza is second on the team with nine goals and 19 points.

SCOUTING WILLIAM SMITH
William Smith extended its win streak to four with a 3-0 victory against Cortland last Friday. Hannah Wood tallied two goals and sophomore goalkeeper Emily King made three saves for her first shutout of the season. The Herons have outscored their opponents 30-8 in the first half this season.

William Smith is seventh in Division III in scoring average (4.20), ninth in points per game (11.00), and 10th in assists per game (2.57). Wood is third in the nation in goals per game (1.57) and fourth in points per game (3.50), while Alessandra Patrizio is eighth in points per game (3.00) and ninth in goals per game (1.36).
