Men's soccer game preview - vs. Ithaca

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The 22nd-ranked Skidmore College men's soccer team looks to keep rolling Sunday against Ithaca.
 
The Thoroughbreds, who are nationally ranked for the first times since 2006, extended their wining streak to six with their second overtime win in three games, beating Utica, 2-1, on Tuesday. Austin Okoye scored the game-winning goal and freshman defender Ben Caples produced his sixth assist of the season, tying him for the league-high. Caples is 40th in Division III in assists per game (0.55). Senior goalkeeper Eli Kisselbach made three saves in the win.
 
Kisselbach is tied for 11th among active players in Division III with 21 career shutouts. He currently ranks second in the nation in save percentage (.919) and fifth in goals against average (0.33).

Skidmore will honor the 2015 men's soccer senior class before Sunday's game.
 
SCOUTING ITHACA
Ithaca snapped a three-game losing skid with a 2-0 Empire 8 win at Houghton on Saturday. Brandon Thompson scored his team-leading fifth goal in the win, while junior goalkeeper Zach Jacobsen stopped five shots for his second shutout.
 
Jacobsen has played every minute in goal, posting a 1.57 goals against average and a .766 save percentage. The Bombers are 1-3 on the road and have been shutout in four of their last six contests.
