Adam Beek scored two goals and added two assists to lead the Skidmore College men's soccer team to a 4-1 non-league win over SUNY Potsdam, Friday night.
The Thoroughbreds (2-1) continue their North Country trip on Saturday at SUNY Canton. It was the first loss of the season for the 2-1-1 Bears.
Potsdam got on the board first with a goal in the 14
th minute. Beek tied it with an unassisted goal at 15:51. Beek set-up the second goal at 26:08 when he assisted on
Brock Bakewell's third goal of the season. Bakewell rocketed a shot that went off the Potsdam keeper's hands and into the net for a 2-1 advantage.
Freshman
Augustine Okoye made it 3-1 off a perfectly placed Beek corner at 54:20. Beek made it 4-1 with he fired home a rebound of a
Nick Masiero shot at 64:06.
The teams had 11 shots each.
Eli Kisselbach had two saves in 76:09 net for the win.
Danny Ebenstein played the final 13:51 with one save.
