Emily Saliterman scored second half goals to lead the Skidmore College women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Plattsburgh in a non-league contest, Saturday at Wachenheim Field.

The Thoroughbreds have won three straight to improve to 3-3, while the Cardinals drop to 4-3.

The teams did all of their scoring in a 4:41 span of the second half.

Caccavale worked her way down the right side through two Plattsburgh defenders and placed a perfect shot far post from just inside the box to give Skidmore the 1-0 lead at 55:50. Â

The Cardinals answered at 59:50 when Lindsey Bushey one-timed goal line clear off a corner for her sixth goal of the season.

It took only 51 seconds for Saliterman to respond with the game winner. Â The team's leading scorer maneuvered through two defenders and poked one in from six yards out for her fifth goal of the season.

Skidmore had a 17-11 edge in shots. Goalie
Deirdre Walsh improved to 3-0 with seven saves, including stuff on a breakaway by Plattsburgh's Brooke Knight with nine minutes to play.

Danielle Schmitt had five saves for the Cardinals.

Skidmore opens Liberty League play on Sept. 23 at Union College in a 7 p.m. game.
