Box Score NEW PALTZ, N.Y.— An early second-half goal was all the scoring SUNY New Paltz needed in a 1-0 win over Skidmore in the second round of the New Paltz Michelle Vargas-Robin Memorial Women's Soccer Tournament on Saturday.
 
The Thoroughbreds, drop to 0-2. Skidmore is home Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. against Farmingdale.
 
New Paltz scored the game's lone goal when Chelsea Weir scored on a header off a set piece in the 47^th minute.
 
The Hawks outshot Skidmore 16-11.
 
Thoroughbred goalie Madison Plummer kept busy with six saves.
