Women's basketball faces road test at #14 Williams

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's basketball goes on the road Tuesday night to take on undefeated #14 Williams College.

SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (1-2): Skidmore notched its first win of the season last week, beating Hamilton 57-50…Senior forward Angela Botiba recorded her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds and senior guard Molly McLaughlin added 11 points, four assists and six rebounds.
 
STATISTICS: The Thoroughbreds are averaging 60.7 points per game and have outrebounded their opponents 143-123 this season…Skidmore is third in the Liberty League in 3-point field goal percentage (31.9)…Freshman guard Kelly Donnelly leads the conference in steals per game (3.3) and sits ninth in rebounds per game (8.0) and 10th in points per game (13.7)…Botiba averages a league-best 2.7 blocked shots per game and ranks fourth in rebounds per game (9.3)…McLaughlin is shooting a conference-high 54.5% from 3-point range.
 

SCOUTING THE EPHS (7-0): Williams knocked off Springfield and Eastern Connecticut State last week to move to 7-0 this season…The Ephs are 3-0 at home this season.
 
STATISTICS: Williams is averaging 68.1 points per game and leads the NESCAC in blocked shots per game (5.7)…The Ephs rank second in the conference in defensive rebounds per game (30.7)…Senior guard Ellen Cook leads the team in scoring (13.0 ppg), assists per game (3.4) and steals per game (1.9) and is second in blocked shots per game (0.9)…Sophomore guard Devon Caveney is averaging 12.9 points per game, 2.3 assists per game and 1.4 steals per game…She was named the NESCAC Player of the Week last week after scoring 28 points against Springfield…Junior forward Katie Litman leads the league in blocked shots per game (2.6) and sixth in total rebounds (49).
