Balanced attack leads Skidmore to 5-0 win over Nazareth

Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y.— Goals by five different Skidmore players highlighted a 5-0 non-league field hockey road win over Nazareth College, Sunday afternoon.
 
The Thoroughbreds jump to 8-3, while the Golden Flyers are 6-8.
 
Becca Halter opened the scoring with her first goal of the season just 6:30 into the game. Melanie Webb made it 2-0 from Seeley Fancher at 10:10. 
 
The score held until the second half, when Krista Lamoreaux increased the lead to 3-0 at 54:31. Sam Scott scored her 16th goal of the season from Sofia San Marco at 59:16 and Jenn Hanks closed out the scoring at 67:26 from Halter.
 
Skidmore outshot Nazareth 25-2 and had a 16-2 corner advantage. Amy Beck had two saves in goal for the shutout.
 
The Thoroughbreds host St. Lawrence in a Liberty League contest on Oct. 11 at 3 p.m.
