Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College field hockey team picked-up a hard earned 2-1 senior day win over Vassar College in a Liberty League playoff preview.

The Thoroughbreds are 13-3 overall and complete league play with a 5-1 record. The team has non-league games with Hartwick (Oct. 29) and St. John Fisher (Nov. 2) to play before the Liberty League Liberty League semifinal on Nov. 5. Skidmore will host Vassar (11-4, 3-3) in with the time to be determined. The Thoroughbreds finish the league schedule tied with Rochester for first, but lost to the Yellowjackets earlier in the season.

Home field is key for the Thoroughbreds who have won 24 straight Liberty League games at home, dating back to 2009.

Vassar scored first when Lauren Wiebe scored off a cross from Flora Crichton-Stuart at 20:13.

A pair of tough saves by Vassar goalie Amreen Bhasin and outstanding defensive play from Enya Cunningham kept Skidmore of the board until
Melanie Webb tipped one in from
Dani DeGregory for her 12th goal of the season at 40:15.

Sam Revera scored the game winner with a blistering shot off a corner stick stop by
Sofia San Marco at 54:05. Webb started the play.

Skidmore outshot the Brewers 21-4 and had a 13-2 corner advantage.

Amy Beck had one save in goal for the win, while Bhasin finished with eight saves.
