Box Score ONEONTA, N.Y.—After a scoreless first half, the Skidmore College field hockey team exploded for foujr second-half goals in a 4-1 non-league win over Oneonta State.
The 11
th ranked Thoroughbreds are 11-3, while the Red Dragons drop to 8-6.
Oneonta broke the scoring drought first with a goal at 49:21. Skidmore responded with goals from four different players for the 4-1 win.
Melanie Webb started the scoring run from
Caroline Saros when she touched the ball into the back of the net for her ninth of the season at 53:54.
Krista Lamoreaux made it 2-1 from
Becca Halter at 55:13.
Dani DeGregory scored the team's third goal in less than three minutes when she blew through the defense and scored falling down for her 22nd of the season.
Kayla Rose finished the scoring with her first goal at 65:25 from Saros.
Amy Beck got the win with one save in net for Skidmore.
The Thoroughbreds are back in action on Oct. 24 at home against Union College at 4 p.m.
