Field hockey set to host Williams

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The 10th-ranked Skidmore College field team will be looking for its third straight win when it hosts Williams on Tuesday.

SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (9-3): Five different players scored for Skidmore for the second time in three games in the Thoroughbreds 5-1 win over St. Lawrence on Saturday…Dani DeGregory and Melanie Webb both produced a goal and an assist and junior defender Jenn Hanks tallied for the second time in as many games.
 
TEAM STATISTICS: Skidmore has conceded two or fewer goals in nine of 12 games this season…The Thoroughbreds are 6-1 at Wagner Park…Skidmore is averaging five goals and 13 points per game, ranking first in the Liberty League.
 
STATISTICAL LEADERS: DeGregory has eight multi-point games this season and leads the league in goals (20), assists (8) and points (48)…Sam Skott, who scored for the third consecutive game with a goal against the Saints, currently ranks second in the conference in goals (17) and points (35)…Hanks netted her second game-winning goal of the season against St. Lawrence, tying her for first on the team…Senior goalkeeper Amy Beck is third in the conference with a 1.75 goals against average.
 
 
SCOUTING THE EPHS (7-4): Williams was shutout for the second time in three games on Sunday, falling 5-0 to #2 Bowdoin after beating Wesleyan (Conn.) 4-1 on Saturday…The five goals against marks the most the Ephs have conceded all season…Senior forward Caitlin Conlon scored two goals in Saturday's win…The Ephs are 4-2 over their last six contests.
 
TEAM STATISTICS: Williams is 2-2 on the road this season…The Ephs average 1.8 goals per game and 4.7 points per game and have conceded 20 goals through 11 games.
 
STATISTICAL LEADERS: Sophomore Rachel Brissette leads the team with five goals and 11 points…Conlon has produced a team-high two game-winning goals and ranks second on the team with four goals and 10 points…Junior midfielder Annie VanWagenen is third with three goals and two assists for eight points…Sophomore Margaret Draper has started all 11 games in the cage, posting a 1.82 goals against average and a .730 save percentage.
