Box Score Farmingdale, N.Y.—Three first half goals carried the Skidmore College women's soccer team to a 3-0 win over host Farmingdale in the Rams Classic Tournament.
 
The Thoroughbreds improve to 1-0-1, while the Rams are 1-1.
 
Skidmore broke the scoreless tie 8:01 into the game as senior midfielder Jen Wardyga (Barrington, R.I.) scored from in front of the net on a rebound off the crossbar.

Only 3:14 later, the Thoroughbreds increased their advantage to 2-0 as sophomore forward Arena Manning (Cambridge, Mass.) netted the feed from Wardyga.

In the final minute of the first half, junior midfielder Morgan Governale (Setauket, N.Y.) put the Thoroughbreds on top 3-0 with a shot to the top left corner from 20 yards out.

In the second half, the Rams held a 5-2 shot advantage but were unable to score as they dropped their first game of the season.
 
Gab Lawrence had four saves in goal for her 11^th career shutout.
 
The Thoroughbreds face UMASS Boston in the Castleton State Tournament on Sept. 7 at 3:30.
