Thoroughbreds extend unbeaten streak to 12

Box Score POTSDAM, N.Y.--The 17th ranked Skidmore College women's soccer team had no trouble extending its record setting unbreaten streak with a 3-0 Liberty League road win over Clarkson, Saturday.

The Golden Knights are 4-9-0 and 0-4 in Liberty League play.  The Thoroughbreds are unbeaten in their last 12 games with a 9-0-2 overall and  4-0 Liberty League record.

Attempting only one shot in the first half, Skidmore made it count in the 11th minute when Caty Sheridan found Christine Bellotti open in the middle of the field, and Bellotti kicked a hard ground ball to the right of Clarkson goalkeeper Sierra Spring to give the Thoroughbreds the 1-0 lead.

A turnover led to a score in the 48th minute for Skidmore as Arena Manning took the ball deep in Clarkson territory and beat Spring one-on-one with a ground ball to the left side of the net from 10 yards out to give the Thoroughbreds a 2-0 lead.

Kelly O'Donnell made it 3-0 in the 84th minute. Gab Lawrence didn't have to make a save as the Thoroughbred defense did not allow a shot on goal for the game.
