Box Score POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—Vassar College shut down the high scoring Skidmore College offense on the way to a 2-1 Liberty League win Friday.

The 13^th ranked Thoroughbreds were held to less than two goals for only the second time this season. Skidmore is 9-3 overall and 2-1 in league play. Vassar is 7-4 and 1-2.
 
Sam Skott gave Skidmore a 1-0 lead from Dani DeGregory at 12:58 of the first half.
 
The teams traded chances for the next 48 minutes, until the Brewers scored on a tip in at  50:33. Vassar got the game winner at 64:51 of a long pass from the corner.
 
Haley McDougall had eight saves in net for Skidmore, while Jenn Hanks had a defensive save.
 
The Thoroughbreds travel to Union on Saturday.
