Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming & diving teams hosted Oneonta in their home opener, Friday afternoon at the Williamson Sports Center.
The women fell 137-101, while the men suffered a 146-89 defeat.
On the women's side, sophomore
Catherine King was a triple winner, taking the 200 Free (2:01.31), 100 Free (55.30) and was part of the winning 200 Free Relay with
Kaleigh Kessler,
Katie Kuklewicz and
Yookee Roh (1:45.77). Roh also won the 50 Free (26.07) and placed second in the 100 Back (1:03.53), while senior
Carrie Koch was second in the 1000 Free with a season best 11:17.54 and also second in the 500 Free (5:30.60).
Kristen Stearns also earned a second place finish in the 1-meter dive (204.52).
Nick Sauerbrunn took second in the 1000 Free (10:46.63), a lifetime best time, while Peter Quattromani was second in the 500 Free (5:13.19) with a season best time. Logan Jones was second in the 50 Free 23.38, closely followed by Tim Brodsky (23.51). Brodsky was also second in the 100 Free (51.52). Jesse Adler had a season best time in the 200 IM (2:07.94) for a second place finish and Jacob Nathan was second on 3 meter (209.25) and 1 meter (230.55).
The Thoroughbreds host a pair of Division II schools, St. Rose and Bridgeport, on Saturday at 1 p.m.
