Swimming & diving splits at Vassar

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The Skidmore College swimming and diving teams earned a split in Saturday's meet at Vassar as the men earned a 163-123 win and the women fell 175-125.

Skidmore men (Jesse Adler, Robert Fulton, Logan Jones, Tim Brodsky) won the 200 MR 1:42.24, while the B team of Lyle Stephenson, Nick Sauerbrunn, Mario Hyman and Taylor Best took second. The men's team had many convicincing victories throughout the day and capitalized on their team's depth.
 
In addition to the relay, Adler had a three-event sweep, winning the 100 Back (56.43), 200 Back (2:04.93) and 200 IM while Stephenson touched second in the 200 Back (2:07.27).
 
Peter Quattromani won the 1000 Free (10:52.06) and Sauerbrunn won the 200 Free (1:55.17). In the 500, Sauerbrunn finished second (5:17.15) while Quattromani touched third (5:25.90) and Andrew Becker won the 100 Fly (56.75).
 
Jacob Nathan won both diving events, scoring 195.29 (1M) and 220.95 (3M) and Charlie Bullis finished second on both boards, 158.85 in the 1 meter event and 133.13 in the 3 meter event.
 
Women were highlighted by Yookee Roh's victory in the 100 Back, while also breaking the college record by 0.8 seconds with a 1:02.53. Roh also won the 200 Back (2:19.78) and finished second in the 200 IM (2:18.05).
 
Carrie Koch won the 500 free (5:30.01) and took 2nd in the 1000 Free (11:22.29). Catherine King won the 50 Free (25.18), 100 Free (56.14), and finished second in the 200 Free (2:03.94).  King, Koch, Roh combined with Kate Lambos to win the 200 Free Relay (1:45.59).

The Thoroughbreds host Oneonta this Friday and St. Rose on Saturday.
