3-0 road win for Thoroughbreds

Oneonta, N.Y.—Three second-half goals propelled the Skidmore College field hockey team to a 3-0 road win over Hartwick College, Wednesday.
 
The fifth ranked Thoroughbreds are 15-1 with seven straight wins.  The Hawks drop to 6-10.
 
Skidmore dominated the game, not allowing a Hartwick shot on goal. The Thoroughbreds outshot the Hawks 22-4.
 
After a scoreless first half, Lauren Tobias got Skidmore on the board, taking a long pass from Jackie Slocombe for her 12th goal of the season at 44:36.  Annie Rosencrans made it 2-0 from Kelly Blackhurst at 50:42.  Rosencrans returned the favor, assisting Blackhurst 10 minutes later for the third goal.  It was Blackhurst's 22nd goal of the season.
 
Haley McDougall earned her sixth and the team's seventh shutout of the season.
 
Skidmore will close out the regular season at home Saturday at 1 p.m. against Geneseo.
