Utica, N.Y.—Utica College converted a penalty kick 6:30 into overtime for a 2-1 win over the Skidmore College men's soccer team, Wednesday night. The Thoroughbreds fall to 3-2-1, while Utica improves to 5-1.

The Thoroughbreds took an early 1-0 lead on Matt Kelsey's fourth goal of the season. Greg Lloyd was credited with the assist at 18:14.

D.J. Ilebeni tied it off a restart from Roberto Sgueglia at 59:14 to force the overtime. In the OT, Skidmore was called for a foul in the box and Sguelia connected on the penalty for the win.

Nick Peterson had eight saves in goal for the Thoroughbreds, who were outshot by Utica 19-9. Skidmore will host Plattsburgh on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m.
