Skidmore defense frustrates Ithaca in 1-1 OT tie

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca women's soccer team (12-3-1), ranked 22nd by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and 27th by D3soccer.com, tied #28 Skidmore (11-3-3) Saturday afternoon at Carp Wood Field.

The Bombers took the lead in the 36th minute on a goal from senior forward Winnie Adrien (Blairstown Academy/Selden), her fifth goal of the year. The goal was assisted by freshman forward Rachael Palladino (Lansing/Groton).

Skidmore tied the game in the second half on Kelsey Yam's second goal of the season.

The Thoroughbred defense frustrated the Bombers. Skidmore goalie Megan Sleezer had a season-high 19 saves.

Skidmore will host Hamilton College on Wednesday in the Liberty League semifinals at 4 p.m.
