Kevin Regan (Chevy Chase, Md.) and
Keil Corey (Bristol, Vt.) scored their first goals of the season to lead the Skidmore College men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Vassar in Liberty League action Saturday at Wachenheim Field.
The Thoroughbreds improve to 5-3-2 and 1-1 in Liberty League play, while the Brewers fall to 3-4 and 0-2.
After a scoreless first half, Skidmore got right to work early in the second half when
Mark Roseboom (Worcester, Mass.) sent a perfect ball from the corner that Regan headed past Vassar goalie Jake London (Albany, N.Y.) at 46:36 to make it 1-0.
The Thoroughbreds dominated play after the first goal and made it 2-0 when
Steve Hazarian (Township of Washington, N.J.) sent Corey in alone and his slow roller crossed the line at 59:06.
Skidmore continued to carry the play, until Vassar's Brian Bianchetti (Tustin, Calif.) got loose in the box to score with 24 seconds to play in regulation. It was the lone shot on goal in the second half for the Brewers.

Nick Peterson (West Hartford, Conn.) had three saves for the win. London finished with eight for the Vassar.
Skidmore will host Southern Vermont on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.
