Beth Hallenbeck enters her 25th season in 2024 as the Skidmore College head field hockey coach and has compiled an impressive 322-143 record.  In that time, her field hockey teams have won nine Liberty League Championships, including a span of seven in nine years, and have made 13 NCAA appearances (three Final Four, four Elite Eight, four Rounds of Sixteen, one second round, one first round).

Hallenbeck was named the Liberty League Coach of the Year in 2009, 2010 and 2019.  She led the team to NCAA final four appearances in 2001, 2010, and 2013 and earned Regional Coach of the Year honors in those years as well.  She has coached 20 All-Americans in her tenure at Skidmore.

In addition to her 25 years at Skidmore, Beth’s over 40 years of coaching include 10 years as head coach of field hockey and lacrosse at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and eight years as an assistant in both sports at Union College. Her all-time field hockey coaching record sits at 392-220-2. Beth was a two-sport captain and stand-out player at Colgate University.
