Dhull and Truong set to represent Skidmore at ITA Cup in Georgia

ROME, Ga. – The Skidmore College women's tennis doubles team of seniors Konika Dhull and Grace Truong will represent the College in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup (formerly Small College Nationals) beginning Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Rome Tennis Center.
 
Doubles action is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday. Dhull and Truong's First Round opponents are Dakota Fordham and Emily Kantrovitz from Emory College. The duo were the runners-up at the ITA South Regional two weeks ago.
 
Dhull and Truong captured Skidmore's first Northeast Regional title in doubles in six years to qualify for the national tournament. Their 5-0 regional run included wins over teams from Union, TCNJ, RPI, RIT, and finally NYU in the finals.
 
Sixteen doubles teams have qualified for the national tournament. It will take four victories to win the title. Each round will take one day. The quarterfinals are scheduled for Friday at 4:30 p.m., the semifinals on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., and the final is Sunday at 10 a.m.
