Spring athletes earn All-Academic distinctions

TROY, N.Y. - 66 Skidmore College athletes representing nine different sports have been named to the Liberty league's Spring All-Academic team, as announced Thursday.

Students must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be in their third semester at Skidmore to qualify for All-Academic honors
.
Baseball is represented by seniors Leejay Pollacchi, Bobby Stafutti, Geoff Green, Casey Quinn, Max Martins, Mike Pannozzi and Alex Barber, while juniors Dan Johnstone and Alex Pavelock also earned the academic distinction.  Sophomores Nick Petrella, Andrew Bannon, Matt Barra and Nick Barra will also represent baseball.

From women's crew, seniors Olivia McQuade, Katie Leigh Heiss, Nicole Cox and Kellye Tamura were honored along with juniors Rachel Bowen, Bailey Farrell and Martha Prince.  Sophomores Olivia Kinnear Heather Braun and Jessica Aleman were also named to the team.

Representing men's crew are juniors Matthew Kugler, Christopher Hoch, Brian Geraghty, Jake Dolgenos, sophomores Cameron Rossington, Spencer Berstler, Vladi Highland and William O'Donnell.  

Juniors Chris Antonez, Brett Augenstein and sophomore Zach Grossman represent men's golf.

Men's lacrosse is represented by seniors Sam Lawfer, J.P. Sullivan, Mike Holden, Mike Perlow, Bryan Connolly, Mike Mozer, juniors Seth Berger, Quinn Hawkins, sophomores Chris Damm, Ethan Pelletier, Clark Demos, Drew Butturini, Josh Trachtenberg, John Sutherland and Thomas Park.

All-Academic team members from men's tennis include junior Gabe Steerman and sophomore Alec Hoblitzell.

Women's lacrosse was represented by junior Robin Fetterolf and sophomores Angela Botiba, Peggy Healy, Anna Gubbins, Marissa Robis, Paige DiAntonio, Spencer Morgan and Brittney Dioneda.

Seniors Carol Brown, Julia Schwartz will represent softball along with junior Katie Peverada and sophomore Sam Skott.

Representing women's tennis are juniors Lee Ford and Robyn Baird, while sophomore Yumi Karlshoej was also honored.
