Greencastle, Ind.—The Skidmore College women's tennis team battled #7 Washington & Lee, before losing, 6-3,  in the ITA Division III Women's Indoor Championship Saturday. 

Skidmore (1-2) will play Wisconsin-Whitewater in the seventh place match late Saturday night.

The 16th ranked Thoroughbreds took a 2-1 lead after doubles behind the 8-1 win at number one by Nataly Mendoza and Lee Ford over Meghan Buell and Claire Cahill.

Ford came back for a dramtic 7-6, 2-6, 6-2 win at number two singles over Buell, but it wasn't enough as the defending tournament champions worked out the win.
