Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – Skidmore College seniors Megan Gaugler and Doug Pilawa were recognized by the Liberty League for their performances during the past week.
Gaugler was named a women's basketball Performer of the Week after leading the Thoroughbreds to a 3-0 start. In the three games, Gaugler averaged 23.0 points and 10.3 rebounds while shooting 61.0% from the floor and 55.6% from beyond the arc. She posted a double-double with 22 points and 19 rebounds in the season opener and concluded the week with 33 points and a school record nine three-pointers in the Skidmore Invitational Championship. Skidmore is at Hamilton for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Monday night.
Pilawa earned Diver of the Week honors for the fifth time this season. He remained undefeated with wins in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at Utica. Pilawa recorded NCAA qualifying scores in both dives and set a new school record in the 1-meter, scoring 500.10 for 11 dives. The Thoroughbreds return to the pool on Dec. 2 for the Liberty League Championships at RPI.
