Rochester, N.Y.— Will it be consecutive Flower City Championships for the Skidmore College men's tennis team? The Thoroughbreds shutout tournament host Nazareth 9-0 and then had no trouble with Rochester on the way to a 5-1 semifinal win. Skidmore will play SUNY Oneonta for the championship on Sunday at 11 a.m.
In the Nazareth win,
Carl-Eric Girardin posted a quick 6-2, 6-2 win at number one singles and combined with
Max Bevan to win 8-2 at number one doubles. Bevan was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at number six.
Against Rochester, Girardin won 6-2, 6-4 over Ryan Kovaleski.
