SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College athletic department recognized 122 student athletes as members of the Thoroughbred Society in a ceremony held Sept. 28, 2017 in the Athletic Hall of Fame at the Williamson Sports Center.

The group of students includes 24 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA in the Spring 2017 semester. The women's tennis team had the highest GPA with 3.701, while the ice hockey team had the highest GPA on the men's side with 3.547.

The Thoroughbred Society was created to honor student-athletes who achieve a 3.67 GPA or higher during each calendar semester. It also honors teams who compile a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
