SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Junior attacker
Brendan Halloran of the Skidmore College men's lacrosse team has been named to the Liberty League's Honor Roll for his efforts over the weekend, the league announced on Monday.
It's the first weekly honor for Halloran this season.
Halloran got Skidmore going offensively in the team's only game of the week, an 11-5 victory over Vassar in the Liberty League opener on Saturday. He tallied a career-high seven points on four goals and three assists in the effort, adding four ground balls and a caused turnover on the defensive end. Halloran is second on the team with 17 points on 11 goals and six assists.
The Thoroughbreds (4-3, 1-0 Liberty League) earned their third straight victory on Saturday against Vassar, winning their opening league game for the first time since the 2011 season. Skidmore takes a break from league play as Geneseo comes to town on Tuesday at 4 p.m. The Thoroughbreds return to league play on Saturday, travelling to Kingston, N.Y. to face Bard at 7 p.m.
