SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Junior goalie Chris Baughan of the Skidmore College men's lacrosse team has been named as the Liberty League's Defensive Performer of the Week for his stellar work in the net last week, the league announced on Monday.
 
It's the first weekly award for Baughan this season.
 
Baughan dominated in his only start last week at Rhodes, making 11 saves and adding a ground ball in the Thoroughbred's 10-5 victory on Thursday. The junior has been solid in the last two starts in net, racking up 28 saves for a .744 save percentage in two victories.
 
Skidmore (3-3) has won the last two contests, defeating Sewanee 10-5 on March 12 before the victory at Rhodes. The Thoroughbreds will begin Liberty League play at Wachenheim Field on Saturday, hosting Vassar at 1 p.m.
