SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College athletic department recognized 103 student athletes as members of the Thoroughbred Society in a ceremony held Feb. 8, 2017 in the Athletic Hall of Fame at the Williamson Sports Center.
The group of students includes 20 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA in the Fall 2016 semester. The field hockey, riding teams and volleyball teams had GPAs over 3.50 team GPAs.
The Thoroughbred Society was created to honor student-athletes who achieve a 3.67 GPA or higher during each calendar semester. It also honors teams who compile a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Daniel Dasgupta and senior
Erin Donovan from women's swimming. The pair shared their student-athlete experiences with athletes, faculty, and staff who attended the biannual event.
