SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College athletic department recognized 113 student athletes as members of the Thoroughbred Society in a ceremony held Oct. 13, 2016 in the Athletics Hall of Fame at the Williamson Sports Center.

The group of students includes 15 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA in the Spring 2016 semester.

The Thoroughbred Society was created to honor student-athletes who achieve a 3.67 GPA or higher during each calendar semester. It also honors teams who compile a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Three teams had average GPAs over 3.5, including women's soccer (3.59), men's ice hockey (3.57), and women's equestrian (3.59).
