Freshman center back
Ben Poole scored his second game-winning goal in as many games to lift the Thoroughbreds to a 1-0 win at #10 Hobart on Wednesday in the Liberty League semifinal.
Ben Caples recorded his eighth assist of the season on the goal, tying him for the league high. In goal,
Eli Kisselbach made three saves for his ninth shutout of the season, surpassing his own program single-season shutout record in the process. The win snapped a 21-game home unbeaten streak for the Statesmen.

Saturday marks the third meeting between Skidmore and St. Lawrence in the Liberty League Championship game. The Saints won the previous two meetings (2013, 2006).

St. Lawrence topped Union, 2-1, in the semifinal to advance to its third consecutive and ninth overall Liberty League title game. The Dutchmen got on the board 5:41 into the contest, but Ryan Grant equalized in the 28th minute and freshman Charlton Kelly scored the game-winner in the 42nd.

- Saints goalkeeper Ryan Roethel has played every minute in goal and ranks third in Division III with a 0.32 goals against average and seventh with a .889 save percentage. He leads the league with 12 shutouts.

- St. Lawrence is 10-1-1 at home and has conceded just three goals, outscoring its opponents 31-3.

- The Saints have shutout four of their last five opponents and have not conceded more than one goal in a game this season.
