Box Score 2 SCHENECTADY, NY – The Skidmore College softball team wrapped its Liberty League season at Union College on Sunday. The Dutchwomen won the opener, 7-3 and took the second game, 9-2.
Union improved to 19-11 on the season, 9-3 in league play. The Thoroughbreds are 12-18 and 6-6 and are the #4 seed in the Liberty League Tournament that begins Thursday.
In the opener,
Lila Rosenfeld had an RBI single in the second for Skidmore, as did
Mackenzie Whiting in the fifth and also in the seventh. Whiting had two of the nine hits for Skidmore.
In the second game,
Brittany Osborn opened the scoring for the Thoroughbreds with her first homer of the year in the second inning.
Skidmore will close out the regular season on Tuesday at home against New England College.
