Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.—The Skidmore College golf team ended the fall season with a disappointing fourth place finish in the six-team Manhattanville/NYU Fall Classic, held on Sunday and Monday at the challenging Hudson National Golf Club.
The 17
th ranked Thoroughbreds shot rounds of 321-319—640 to finish 18 strokes behind winner Manhattanville College (314-308—622). Middlebury was second with 319-312—631, followed by Farmingdale in third with 324-315—639. NYU was fifth (338-321—659) and Stevens sixth (349-346—695).
Manhattanville's William Tischler was first with 72-79—151.
Scott Pinder was the top Skidmore player, tying for sixth with 79-79—158. Anthony Dilisio (85-76—161) and
John McCarthy (82-79—161) tied for 11
th .
Zach Grossman (76-86—162) was one stroke back in 16
th.
Garrett Colgan (84-85—171) tied for 24
th.
Skidmore will resume play in the spring, working toward a 26
th straight NCAA Division III tournament bid.
